Things to do

Come to Denstone Hall and explore the Staffordshire countryside on foot or by bike that surrounds where we are. Take advantage of our free parking, as you put on your hiking boots or unload your bikes.

Walk around JCB Lakes

We have the beautiful lakes of JCB Headquarters on our doorstep in Rocester. Walking up to and around the first lake then back to base takes under an hour and is a flat 2.5 miles.

You can take in all the hard work going on to build the new 240 acre JCB championship golf course.

The Staffordshire Way

If you’re after a longer walk, The Staffordshire Way winds through Alton, Denstone and Rocester on its 92 mile trip that spans the length of the county from Mow Cop to Kinver.

Here is an official guide from Staffordshire County Council that you can take a look at, pages 35, 36 and 37 are a great starting point, and from here you can head north or south along The Staffordshire way.

The River Churnet

There are beautiful trails along the River Churnet, which are traffic-free in parts as they use the old railway lines. Here’s a great map from the Denstone Village website for you to print off.
